This is a bronze sculpture of the ancient King and Queen, Akhenaten and Nefertiti, a brother and sister royal pair known for their religious revolution in Egypt, in which they started to worship one god only, Aten, or the sun disc. They are seen walking side by side, in monoracial regalia, entranced by mutual adoration. Akhenaten was married to Nefertiti at the very beginning of his reign, and six daughters were identified from inscriptions. Nefertiti was the Great Royal Wife to Akhenaten and was very beloved to him. This bronze sculpture was cast using the archaic method of lost-wax casting and stained with a brown patina finish for perpetuation and mounted upon a marble base. Dimensions: Height 30 X Width 12 inches. Weight: 65 LBS.
