Air Force General Curtis E. LeMay TLS
Air Force General Curtis E. LeMay Typed Letter Signed “Curtis E. LeMay”. One page, 8” x 10.5”, on Strategic Air Command letterhead, Omaha, Nebraska, June 7, 1954, to Richard A. Anderson, Lansing, Michigan. Curtis E. LeMay (1906-1990) was an outspoken proponent of aerial bombing in both WWII and the Vietnam War. He once infamously remarked that he would bomb the North Vietnamese “back into the Stone Age”. In this letter LeMay obliges a request from a five year old boy for an autograph. The letter bears the usual fold creases, else is fine with the original envelope. Comes with several contemporary newspaper accounts of LeMay.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
