Featured in this lot are four (4) Edward Sherrif Curtis Contemporary Archival Pigment Prints by Christopher Cardozo. Included are: Plate 209 "The Three Chiefs - Piegan", Plate 150 "Bear's Belly - Arikara", Plate 592 "Offering To The Sun - San Ildefonso", Plate 249 "Kutenai Duck Hunter." Mastered from vintage, original source materials, these contemporary fine art photographs are individually produced to emulate the texture and color of the original Curtis photogravures. Christopher Cardozo (1948-2021) is widely acknowledged as the world’s leading authority on American Indian ethnographer and photographer Edward S. Curtis. He pioneered techniques for preserving and revitalizing historic photographs, as well as developing cutting-edge techniques for contemporary photography. He was also the founder and board chair of the Edward S. Curtis Foundation, dedicated to preserving and exhibiting the work of Edward Curtis. These archival pigment prints are in very fine condition, each measures 16"W x 20"L.
