African Wood Mask, c. 1930s. Made of wood, paint, seed beads, cowrie shells, faceted bugle beads and mesh material, the item measures 14" long x 6" wide. Zaire, Congo, Africa. Black, tan and white facial paint, seed beeds connecting nose to mouth. Mesh material covering top of head adorned with well-patinated cowrie shells. Condition: Excellent w/very minor bead loss, see images. Shipping: $24.50 w/insurance and signature, due to value and size.
