Author of ""Royal Benin Art"". I.D'd this mask at the museum as Happy Manifestation of a Female Water Spirit, Dan Tribe, Zaire, 19th c. The Dan frequently re-used old masks. The basket work & raw wool backpiece may be less old than the mask."
