The main feature is the first appearance of Starman by Jack Burnley, who is responsible for the historic cover, and who is joined by classic 1940s artists Creig Flessel and Bernard Baily in providing interior art. Gerber rates this issue as "scarce". According the CGC's most recent census data, only one copy of issue #61 has graded as high as Fine. At first glance, our Mile High offering, so typically attractive for the pedigree, looks nicer than CGC's top-ranked (to date) VF+ 8.5 copy, but CGC explains about our offering, "Restoration includes: moderate amount of color touch on spine, tiny tear seal." Overstreet 2003 NM 9.4 value = $15,500. <B>Estimate: $30,000-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
