Overstreet calls the book "rare," a designation the Guide doesn't often use, and indeed this issue is considered among the hardest to find of the Golden Age keys. The striking cover, showing Sandman doing what he does best, is by Creig Flessel. Sandman's first published appearance was in <B>New York World's Fair</B></I> 1939, but this issue's story is believed to have been created before that one. Bert Christman, who later met his death in World War II, was the artist on the feature. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: color touch, pieces added, tear seals, reinforced."
