Countersigned by Wilhelm Keitel. Embossed Nazi seal along the left side of page. In fine condition with a few handwritten notations.
This promotion reassigned von Bismarck to a North African command under Rommell. It was during a campaign at El Alamein on August 31, 1942 that von Bismarck was killed by mortar fire.
