Nazi German government official, SS-Obergruppenführer, head of the Führer's Chancellery and leader of the euthanasia programme, the so-called Aktion T4. Bouhler and his wife committed suicide in May of 1945, just after they were apprehended by American troops and were being transported to Dachau Concentration Camp. Signed book: Reise Atlas von Bajern Oder Geographisch-geometrische Darstellung. Munich: , 1930. Hardcover, 9 x 11. Signed and inscribed on the first free end page to Adolf Hitler, dated 1936, and signed “Ph. Bouhler.” Pencil notation under inscription indicates that this book was seized from Berchtesgaden by Roger Galula, a member of the French resistance. In very good condition, with heavy creases and rippling to signed page, scattered light foxing to other pages, portions of original printed wrappers mounted to paste-downs, rubbing to spine, scattered soiling to covers, and weak hinges.
