A lot of two letters written by Civil War naval hero David Porter including a one page letter, 7.75” x 10”, New York, March 23, 1882, to Hamilton Fish which reads in part: “<I>I have got the cigars you send for, and not knowing whether you wanted them sent on to you I delivered them at the house of Mrs. Fish subject to your order.</B></I>”, also signed on the verso, with the usual fold creases, else very good; and a one page letter, 8” x 10”, Washington, D. C., April 24, 1889, to the editor or the <I>New York Tribune,</B></I> which reads, in part: “<I>I enclose one copy of the Programme sic of Naval Display April 29 which please publish for the information of the public.</B></I>”, with the usual fold creases, else fine. <I>From the collection of Henry E.
