Adams's Patent English Double Action Revolver
Manufactured circa 1870s. Blade front sight and notch rear sight. The top barrel flat is marked "ADAMS'S PATENT SMALL ARMS Co., 391, STRAND, LONDON." The right side of the frame has the Adams's patent marking and AJ trademark. Alternating "crown/V" and "crown/GP" British proofs appear on the cylinder between the chambers at the rear. Fitted with an ejector rod and one piece checkered grip with lanyard stud on the butt. Matching serial number on cylinder, trigger guard and frame.

Condition: Very fine. The revolver retains 95% original blue finish with some moderate oxidation on the cylinder, flaking and spotting on the front strap. There are a couple of moderate dings on the trigger guard and numerous overall minor dings, scratches and high edge wear. The grips are fine with exception of a shallow gouge on the right side, overall scattered minor dings bruises and crisp checkering. The cylinder doesn't lock up properly, otherwise the action functions fine. The frame markings are double stamped and all markings remain clear.
