Adams patent double action revolver in .44 caliber percussion cased with accessories showing A.F. Initials and crown proof indicating manufacture by Francotte of Liege, Belgium. The barrel measures 6 ¼” and the pistol is approximately 13” overalland is serial numbered 16917 in script on the right side of frame. The revolver shows 80% to 90% original blue that is toning and aging naturally with some minor scratches and just beginning areas of light erosion and rust starting. The checkered wood grips are very good plus to near fine showing just slight handling and minor use. The action works well and the interior is very good plus with an excellent bore and all correct small parts. The revolver is cased and in an Englishstyle partition case and lined in green felt. There is a small European continental type powder flask and various accessories in the large compartment. The exterior of the case is in the veneered mahogany with brass screws and deluxetype catches. A very nice Tranter patent revolver which was undoubtedly made by Francotte and sold on European market.
