Philadelphia: Richard Folwell, 1801. Contemporary calf boards, 5 x 8, 352 pages. Of great interest in this volume are the acts relative to the death of George Washington, and in particular, the original legislation that eventually resulted in the erection of the Washington Monument, as well as the Bankruptcy Act, and an act granting the Franking privilege to Martha Washington. In good condition, with toning and foxing to all pages and both pastedowns, mild dampstaining, paper loss to first free end page, additional label glued to spine, and owner’s name written on front pastedown.
