Set of four vintage photos individually signed by a notable actress, including:

Rare vintage matte-finish 9.5 x 7.5 full-length photo of Elizabeth Patterson standing outside next to a gorgeous dark automobile, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Henrietta—with appreciation & many good wishes, Elizabeth Patterson.” In fine condition, with a trimmed top edge and tape remnants to three corners. Patterson was a character actress (1875–1966) best known for her role as the elderly neighbor Matilda Trumbull on I Love Lucy.

Vintage 3.5 x 5.5 postcard photo of Renate Muller in a full-length pose, signed in fountain pen. Scattered silvering to background of image, and light vertical postal cancellations to right side, otherwise fine condition. Muller was a German singer and actress (1906–1937) who was immensely popular in the early 1930s. Her sudden death at the age of 31 was initially attributed to epilepsy, but after the end of World War II, witnesses suggested that she had been murdered by Gestapo officers after she refused to appear in Nazi propaganda films.

Vintage matte-finish 7.5 x 9.5 Talbot portrait of Ilka Chase in a lovely seated pose, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Andre Charise, with sincere good wishes, Ilka Chase, ‘Revenge with Music,’ 1934–35.” Also signed in the lower left by the studio in red ink. Reverse bears a photography studio credit stamp. Neatly trimmed and in fine condition.

Vintage sepia glossy 8 x 12.25 White studio portrait of Cecilia Loftus with a beatific expression, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, “To Mr. Emerling with very best wishes, Cecilia Loftus, 1927.” Reverse bears a photography studio stamp. In fine condition, with trimmed edges, a few surface creases, and a couple of corner creases. Loftus was a multitalented Scottish actress and musician (1876–1943) best remembered for her roles in The Blue Bird and The Black Cat.
