Action Comics #35 (DC, 1941) CGC VF+ 8.5 Off-white to white pages. Wayne Boring, whom many collectors know as the quintessential Superman artist, began drawing the Man of Steel for creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster in the very early days of the superhero icon's appearances in this title, but really came into his own in the late 1940s. From that point through the 1950s, Boring was the primary Superman artist for DC. His cover art is shown off here on one of the nicest copies of issue #35 to have survived the past sixty years. Just one other copy, in fact, has earned a higher grade from CGC. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $852; NM 9.4 value = $1,500.
