Absolutely majestic and intricate part silk Persian Tabriz Rug. 100% natural hand woven, vegetable dye, pure silk, finest baby lamb's wool pile on cotton foundation. This is an absolutely beautiful and magnificent handmade Persian Rug. This is a popular and sought after stylized fish design. This rug's origin is the north western part of Iran. Tabriz is the birthplace of some of the finest Persian Rugs. This type of rug can only be woven by a master weaver due to the very intricate pattern involved. This lovely piece is masterfully hand woven, knot by knot, and it has about 260 knots per square inch. It takes over three years to create this beauty. The glowing silk high lights give this lovely piece an added three dimensional character. Also, the baby lamb's wool pile used to weave this rug is of the finest quality available to the point that it feels like velvet to the touch. Size: 10 feet X 6 feet 8 inches. Country of Origin: Iran.
