Includes many early twentieth century examples with numerous soft-colored cards from the 1910s to the 1930s and some 1909 centennial pieces. Includes a fine collection of postcard sets from a wide range of places including Mount Rushmore, Washington, Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana. Also includes some brilliant examples of mid-century roadside Americana regaling in tacky splendor, rich in oversaturated hues, and amateur composition. Some have been postal used.
