Subjects range from formal portraits of Lincoln to monuments in Washington, Springfield, and beyond. Other subjects include U.S. presidents, sites in Washington, Chicago, and other locales associated with the 16th president. Includes many early twentieth century examples with numerous soft-colored cards from the 1910s to the 1930s and some 1909 centennial pieces. Also includes some brilliant examples of mid-century roadside Americana regaling in tacky splendor, rich in oversaturated hues, and amateur composition. Some have been postal used.
