Abraham Lincoln. Unsigned Autograph Document
Abraham Lincoln. Unsigned Autograph Document. No place or date, one page, oblong octavo. In Lucetta Stevens vs Phineas Stevens, on her petition for assignment of dower, Lincoln writes out a court order which grants her request since "John C. Doremus…guardian ad litem to the said Phineas Stevens…knows nothing in bar of said petition…" Lincoln has left a blank space (never filled in) for the description of the lands on which she is to recover dower. It is further ordered that "Henry Giger and James Bowlin be appointed commissioners to assign and set out her dower…" Excellent. From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.

Please note: An "Unsigned Autograph Document" means that this document is written in Abraham Lincoln's own handwriting, but does not include his signature.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
