<B>Abraham Lincoln: Large Tintype in Brass Frame.</B></I> This tintype was made from an engraving done of the original photograph by A. Berger (#O-92). Taken on February 9, 1864, this is the very portrait that was used on the five-dollar bill. Here the image is reversed from the original; however, this is common with tintypes. His cheeks have been tinted rose, and then the entire tintype has been set into a handsome brass frame. This piece is perfect for placing in a union case or other display item. In very fine condition; minimal scratches and blemishes; two small blemishes on the president's face. Size: 1.5" x 2".
