<B>Abraham Lincoln: A Lovely Large Jacquard Woven Tribute to America's 16th President.</B></I> Manufactured in Europe, it is similar to several other smaller woven, ribbon-like items made during Lincoln's presidency, or as mourning items following his assassination. The center section, measuring 5.25" x 7.75" is surrounded by a smoother plain silk border onto which Lincoln's name and that of the manufacturer, APPOLD SCHULTHESS appear. Overall, measures 7.5" x 10". A very impressive <I>tour de force</B></I> from the early days of this sort of precise weaving.
