Very nice Abraham Lincoln letter signed, dated 30 November 1860 from Springfield, Illinois. Here, as President-Elect, Lincoln writes to a man in Indiana who requests his signature. Letter reads in full, ''Chas. A. Thompson Esq. / Dear Sir - Herewith I send you my autograph, which you request. Yours Truly / A. Lincoln.'' Scarce with accompanying envelope postmarked Springfield, Ill. and addressed to Charles A. Thompson in Boone County, Indiana. On stationery with a blind-stamped seal of ''Johnson & Bradford / Springfield, Ill.'' a bookstore operating in Springfield in the mid-19th century which apparently sold writing paper as well. Stationery measures 5.25'' x 7.75'' and envelope measures 4.5'' x 2.75''. Mailing folds, small .25'' inch closed tear along lower middle fold and light chipping, otherwise excellent. Clear, bold Lincoln signature.
