Nice display of two Abraham Lincoln relics—a strand of his hair and a swatch cut from a flag that hung from his funeral train—framed together with a caption, portrait, and reprint of his autograph to an overall size of 22 x 18. Includes a provenance package discussing the history of each piece. The hair came from a larger lock that was presented to Lincoln's assistant secretary, Edward Duffield Neill, who went on to found Macalester College, and was purchased from the Macalester College Library. The flag swatch was cut from a larger piece sold by Alexander Autographs, which was accompanied by a letter by Paul Mills explaining that it descended through the McQuillen family in Indiana, and was displayed during the funeral train's stop in Indiana. In overall fine condition.
