<B>Abraham Lincoln Autograph Document Signed</B></I> "<I>Davis & Lincoln p.d.</B></I>" No place or date (Vermilion Co., Ill.; docketed October 1851), one page, oblong octavo, on light blue paper which is fading to white. A general plea in Gerard M. Cooper vs John Grace, in which the defendant claims "<I>he is not guilty in manner and form as…alledged…</B></I>" (Lincoln lost this case on 22 October when a jury found Grace guilty and assessed the plaintiff's damages at $35).
