<B>Abraham Lincoln Autograph Document Signed</B></I> "<I>Logan & Lincoln for Petitioners</B></I>". Christian Co. (Ill.), no date (docketed 13 March 1844), about two and one-half pages in all, folio. A lengthy "<I>petition for partition</B></I>" involving Stacey B. Opdycke, N.W. Edwards (Lincoln's brother-in-law), Stephen T. Logan (Lincoln's second law partner) and numerous others who, as land owners and proprietors, had laid out the town of Edinburgh in Sangamon County in 1836, since become part of Christian County. The present document lists various parcels which have been sold and petitions for a division of unsold town lots, in proportion to the proprietors' respective interests.
