The circuit court clerk is requested to <I>"please issue a summons"</B></I> in the case of William Atchison (suing for Mary, wife of Madison Allen) vs the City of Pekin. At foot, attorney B.F. James has written an Autograph Document Signed entering himself as security for costs in the case. Benjamin F. James was one of the few candidates whom Lincoln personally examined for admission to the bar.
