This wooden wheel was part of a small cart from the Rukai tribe of Formosan aborigines. Estimated age about 100 years (the use of a cart shows the early Japanese influence on the aborigine way of life). The piece is 21.5" in diameter and 2" thick with a cneter hole for the axle. 8 warriors are carved on the face of the wheel.
