Letter to Mr. Agasse, the "division head at the Department of the Secretary of State." In part (translated): "As my occupations are many, I'm flattered that you would be good enough to accept that one of my assistants come in my place to receive this sum, on the day and time you specify…If something important in my work does not coincide with that time, I will…come to you and offer you the homage of my respectful feelings." In fine condition.
