In part: "É<i>Quotes never do much good, so don't be disappointed I can't give you one...</i>"; <b>JOYCE CAROL OATES</b>, A.N.S. 1p. on a postcard, Princeton, Dec. 23, 1982 declining to endorse Holzer's book <i>Double Crossing</i>: <i>"...I receive so many requests for endorsements I've had to make it a policy to very rarely give them...</i>" Light dampstains<b>; SUE GRAFTON</b>, T.L.S. "<i>Sue</i>" on the recto and verso of a 6 1/2" x 5" card, [n.p.], Nov. 29, 1992. In part: <i>"...I'm also gearing up for `K' which means an end to any reading except for fun. I wish I could help with your request for a blurb, but I'd go mad these days trying to keep up. It does sound like your publisher is really getting behind you and I hope the strategy works.
