AUSCHWITZ SLAVE LABORER'S WORK BOOK
AUSCHWITZ SLAVE LABORER'S WORK BOOK
An "arbeitsbuch", or work history book issued to Polish slave laborer Stanislaus Loj, born in 1892 and married with four children. The book states that Loj was a "Protective Member", a euphemism for a foreign forced laborer, and was employed primarily in road construction. He is housed at "Auschwitz O.S.I.G." and his first labor detail is listed as occurring in May, 1940. On June 1, 1942 Loj started working in Auschwitz proper, and remained there for the next two years when records of his employment cease. Very good.
