There are three front-page flonges (molds) from an Auburn, New York newspaper. These are negative molds made of some form of cellulose and used to create the lead plates from which the newspaper was printed. They can be read directly and reveal what front page news the American public was seeing at war's end. Headlines read: "German sailors protest submarine war"; "Kaiser abdicated"; "World war comes to an end." Size: 21in. x 16 1/2in. each. Condition: Fair to good with some losses to cellulose.
