The Gembol tree is an ancient tree in the forest of Asia, which can range up to 20 feet in diameter and once the tree dies, it goes into stages of petrification. Decades after the tree dies, it will remain standing in the forest as a fossil like icon among many living trees, thus making it one of the hardest, heaviest woods in the world. The Asian government only allows a certain amount of the wood out of the country a year. Each piece of this furniture is unique, one of a kind, full of antiquity and character throughout. A significant work of art!
