Stunning panel cut amber/topaz color glass serving bowl. Beautiful design reminiscent of "fleur de lis" is deeply cut out on the reverse side, with part being finished in satin (acid etched). Until recently, this scarce type of Czech Art glass was "forgotten" in American publications on the subject. Please refer to the current book of "Collectible Bohemian Glass 1915-45, Vol. II" by Robert & Deborah Truitt, which is an excellent source of information for Collectors in this field. This bowl survived its' 60-70 years of existence in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Dimension : 11" in diameter. Made by Ruckl Glassworks, design by Ludvika Smrckova, a winner of Gold medal in 1935 (World Expo in Brussels) and in 1937 (Paris Grand Prix). Czechoslovakia circa 1920-30's. Matching smaller (ice cream) bowl is listed separately.
