ARABIA: LOT of 47 coins, including Sabaean (7): one Bucranium, four Augustans, and two yanaf-monograms, in various denominations; Qataban (1): AR unit with male heads and HRB; Himyarite (26) all AR fractions except a standard unit, incl. 6 of Yuhabirr, 10 of Karib'il Wattar, 3 of Amdan Bayan (scyphate), 6 of Tha'ran Ya'ub, and an early anonymous type; plus one each of Roman (in the shape of a scallop shell, 13.56g, possibly an early aes formatum), Seleukid (Demetrios I drachm SE161, VF+), Byzantine (Justin & Sophia follis), and Arab-Byzantine (Emesa follis), and 9 uncertain examples (a couple with clear but undeciphered incuse inscriptions); most in average circulated conditions, some better, a few with small chips, a very interesting group; retail value $650, lot of 47 pieces.
