The smoothed L-shaped antler handle on this cane has a bear's head carved from another smaller piece of antler andattached to the "elbow" of the handle. The handle is 4.75" wide and 3.75" high, with the bear being nearly 1" indiameter. The handle is attached to a briarwood shaft with a brass collar and has a worn brass ferrule. The bear'snose may be chipped. Total length is 36.75".The ferrule may be an old replacement. The shaft had some filler or varnish near the ferrule(EST 200-300)
