Walenta, affixed to paper backing, 29.75 x 21 inches. It is named 'The Froebel' for depicting the education of children to the philosophy of Friedrich Froebel. Froebel theorized that children should be active participants in their education, free from authoritative instruction. He recommended learning through open-ended play. The children in the poster are shown possessing their education through metaphorical objects like a globe and abacus.
