PROBIN' (very faint) , engraved band at the intersection, moulded band and sighting groove at breech, solid top-tang, curved and radiused lock with moulded border and pointed tail signed below the pan 'T. PROBIN', bridle-less frizzen, walnut full-stock (fore-end and underside behind ramrod throat replaced in antiquity), moulded and engraved bulbous butt-cap (small chip to edge), moulded brass trigger-guard with integral tang, carved sideplate formed with mythical masks and working replacement ramrod -- lock has one position to lock up and fire -- full cock only -- JAW SCREW BROKEN
