Rare type 2 Perry Patent Arms Co. single shot percussion pistol. .54 caliber, length 14-5/16” overall. The round tapered rifled barrel is 7-5/16” from barrel tip to breach face. Only manufactured between 1854 and 1856. Approximately 200 pistols were made. MAIN SPRING BROKEN. There is a large screw in right front of buttcap along with a small lever protruding from the right edge of the buttcap under the grip. When the screw is removed and the lever is pushed to the rear, a curved, spring-loaded brass magazine tube for wafer primers can be removed for reloading.
