ANTIQUE: Pair of French Wheel-Lock holster pistols, circa 1610-20. Full length pearwood stocks, butt of each gun decorated with silver studs. Ivory tipped ramrod ends. The pistols are 23" overall length. The 41 caliber barrels are 15". Top tang, breech, trigger guards, edge of lock plates are tastefully engraved. Cast iron lock terminates in a formed boar's head. External wheel, bearing plate formed as a dragon, dogs head chiseled as a monster. Stocks have been refinished at some time in the past. Overall - excellent condition.
