(ANTI-VIENTAM WAR PLACARD)
"An interesting piece, a one color printed poster measuring approximately 16"" x 20"" announcing a march in Washington to urge Richard Nixon to sign the Vietnam cease fire on January 20, 1973, the day his second inauguration. The poster bears an image of a skeleton holding a mask of Richard Nixon to his face replete with a crown bearing various multi-national corporations around the rim including Standard Oil, I.B.M., A&P, Bell, I.T.T., etc. The skeleton is dropping bombs with his hand on images of Vietnamese civilians and bears the caption ""NIXON LIAR SIGN THE CEASE FIRE"". The protest attracted approximately 100,000 people with some hitting Nixon's limousine with rocks and bottles as he rode from the Capitol to the White House. Matted and framed, a few minor dampstains, otherwise very good condition. Not examined out of frame." 2513 An interesting piece, a one color printed poster measuring approximately 16"" x 20"" announcing a march in Washington to urge Richard Nixon to sign the Vietnam cease fire on January 20, 1973, the day his second inauguration.
