ANTEBELLUM PRESIDENTIAL WALL CHART. Hand-colored black and white lithographed wall chart of the Presidents, Washington through Polk (1845-1849). Besides all of the presidents, chart includes all state seals and the "Landing of Columbus in the New World." The portraits of Jackson and Polk are unusual. Publ. by S. Augustus Mitchell, lith. by Duval's in Philadelphia, 1846. Wonderful colors and design. Numerous varieties of this chart exist. Varnished paper on canvas, 30 x 42", original rollers top and bottom, original hanging loops. Some normal chipping along edges from constant rolling and unrolling, and a vertical tear through Washington's portrait. Generally very good condition.
