Dublin : Printed for the Author, by William Porter, 1793FIRST COLLECTED EDITION, pages (2), lvii, (23), 333, (1, blank), with the 26-page subscriber list and errata leaf, 8vo, contemporary calf, neatly rebacked retaining the original label, gilt : used and stained, but a good sound copy.Anketell (b.1750?), possibly of Monaghan, contributed to the Dublin Chronicle and to Walker's Hibernian Magazine. His very lengthy preface is full of personal complaints at lack of subscription, yet his subscription list is an ample one. Third edition. Dublin : Printed and sold by Thomas Morton Bates, 89, Coombe. Nearly opposite Meath-Street, 1797. With 5 folding engraved plates, pages (8), 624, 8vo, contemporary calf, gilt ruled spine, with label, gilt : with light marginal worming on the last few leaves without serious loss, and the binding rubbed and worn but still very strong and not unattractive. The 'Directions to the binder" states that five of the plates should be bound in as in this copy and that the 26 maps be bound in a separate volume, forming “a complete small or Pocket Atlas" : not present here.
