Vol. 1 includes a previously unpublished story by Henry James. Amongst other contributors to these volumes are Swinburne, Richard Garnett, Edmund Gosse, George Gissing and, Maurice Baring. The publication was issued in lavish facsimiles of historic bindings. Cyril Davenport contributed notes on the bindings. This run includes facsims. of bindings by Mearne,
