<td width="100%">
This elegant armchair created in the manner of Andre Charles Boulle (1642 - 1732) is a classic example of the master's work from 1672 - 1732. Boulle became a master before 1666, but in 1672 was granted the royal privilege of lodgings in the galleries du Lourve. That same year he also received a warrant signed by the Queen, giving him the added title of ?bronzier? as well as ?ebeniste?, and maintained both of these titles throughout his life. This chair features an ebony black frame in a satin finish with magnificent Boulle inlays covering virtually the entire back. The seating area is beautifully finished in a rich dark red leather. Although some wear is evident parts of the frame, it is minor and not very noticable. Boulle pieces are not readily seen on the market and the appeal of this piece will be instantly recognized by those who appreciate the master's designs. THIS PIECE IS A COMPLEMENTARY MATCH TO THE ANDRE CHARLES BOULLE STYLE DESK UNDER SEPARATE LISTING, REFERENCE CODE #D05.
