ANCIENT EGYPTIAN EARTHENWARE BOWL
A fine relic recovered from a shipwreck, being an Egyptian earthenware bowl dating from 2500-3000 B.C. It measures approx. 10" dia. and stands approx. 3 1/2" tall, created from rough, unglazed clay. In 1973, Robert Marx discovered several shipwrecks in the ancient port of Tyre, Lebanon during a UNESCO-sponsored expedition. Among these were two Egyptian wrecks, which yielded this artifact. Very good condition, with a Certificate of Origin signed by Marx.
