HEPHTHALITE: LOT of 15 coins, from the Hephthalites and their contemporaries, including Hephthalites (5): two Napki Malka BI drachms (MACW 1500ff) and two smaller coppers (cf. MACW-1495 & 1527), plus a Sri Shahi drachm (G-236, with insect countermark); Turk Yabghus (3): two AR drachms imitating Hormizd IV, with BHL (Balkh) mint and date of "11", both countermarked with male head left and Bactria word phoro, plus a Khusru II drachm with male head right; Sind (7): seven Yashaditya series AR dammas; Chavadas of Gujarat (1): AR drachm (Deyell-154, prototype for later gadhaiya paisas); most in VF conditions and all quite decent, all identified on accompanying holders by the consignor; retail value $700, lot of 15 pieces.
