Of classic form, the wooden grips with characteristic rolled pommel. The guard of brass, the gilded silver tangband engraved in floral motifs, the T-backed blade of fine form with pronounced backedge. Engraved with vinework and the date 1903, in which year the Macedonian Uprising against the Ottoman Empire took place. Likely the property of a member of that movement, the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Revolutionary Organization, and the last time this sword saw use. The blade was engraved with the date and nickel-plated in order to commemorate the event; a later attempt to remove the plating has left substantial traces of nickel as well as copper undercoat visible.
