AN AUSTRIAN NEOCLASSIC PARCEL-GILT PATINATED AND ASH CENTER TABLE Vienna, circa 1820 The circular top with pie-form veneer panels above a gadrooned inverted tazza support on a tapering writhen standard surmounted by a stylized lotus flower and flanked by three griffons resting on an inswept tripartite base with molded edge 293/4 X 351/2 in. 76.5 X 90 cm - $40,000-50,000 Seated patinated and parcel-gilt griffon monopodia on inswept bases were used widely by craftsmen in the Austro-Hungarian empire, especially in Vienna, during this period.
