The brooch, designed as an orchid plant, the flowers in carved ivory with pear-shaped ruby highlight to the plique-a-jour enameled leaves and sculpted gold stem, ca. 1900, brooch fitting deficient, one ivory flower broken; and the locket, decorated with engraved floral and foliate motifs, opening to reveal two fitted mirrors, ca. 1900
