AN AMERICAN SILVER FOUR-PIECE TEA SERVICE AND A MATCHING EWER. Samuel Kirk, Baltimore, circa 1830. Comprising: a tea urn, a coffee pot, a two-handled covered sugar bowl and a cream jug, with a matching ewer, each densely chased with landscapes and flowers on a stippled ground, the tea service depicting Continental villages, the ewer with a Chinese scene, the angular handles applied with ram's heads, two finials modeled as Turk's heads, one as an armor helmet. Together with an associated stand and burner for the tea urn, by Taylor, Lawrie & Wood, Philadelphia, mid-19th century - 233 oz.; tea urn with stand 22 in. (56 cm) high.
